DENVER, CO - Perhaps stemming from its relationship to the famous Sotheby’s Auction House, which houses some of the world’s finest pieces of art, the tradition of patronage continues at the local level in Boulder, CO, with LIV Sotheby’s International Realty’s continued support of Boulder Symphony, and the appointment of one of its respected brokers to its Board of Directors.
On May 9, 2015 LIV Sotheby’s International Realty (LIV SIR) sponsored the performance of Georges Bizet’s opera, Carmen, performed by Boulder Symphony, whose mission is to educate young people on the importance of creating their own art and develop a genuine appreciation of the arts in the Boulder community and beyond.

LIV Sotheby’s International Realty broker, and long-time patron of the symphonic arts, Michael A. Hughes, hosted a meet and greet wine and hors d'oeuvres reception prior to the performance at the LIV SIR office located at 1050 Walnut St. Due to his outstanding involvement with the symphony, often championing concert awareness and fundraising events, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of Boulder Symphony
“I’ve always held a deep appreciation for the arts and classical music or contemporary music performed with a classical instrument,” said Hughes. “Being named to the Board of Directors of Boulder Symphony is an honor.”
Hughes responsibilities will include budgeting, fundraising, raising awareness and increasing the attendance of concerts and fundraisers.
The brokerage, which fosters a firm belief in community building, has supported Boulder Symphony since 2013.
