ALAMEDA, CA - Harbor Bay Realty is pleased to welcome Mikael Johnston, Realtor, to its sales team. A long time Alameda resident Mikael first moved to the island in 1974 with his family where he developed strong ties to the community over the years.
Prior to his real estate career, Mikael spent over twenty years in the recording industry working as an audio engineer / producer, record label general manager and a major label recording artist at Warner Bros. Records. He has had the pleasure to work with such esteemed artists as the legendary rock band Jane’s Addiction, the Bay Area’s own Smash Mouth and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame act Blondie among many others. During his career he has amassed 15 Billboard top 40s to his list of credits, served on several Grammy committees and is a voting member in good standing with the Grammy Academy. “My exposure and experience in marketing as a general manager for two record labels, my attention to detail and my ability to satisfy high end, demanding clientele provide a unique perspective to marketing and closing real estate transactions,” said Mikael.
Mikael made the transition to Real Estate after he and his wife had their son Wesley Johnston in July of 2013 at which point he decided to focus his attention on staying closer to home. Mikael has always had an interest in real estate and studied for his license alongside friend and fellow Harbor Bay Realty agent Guy Blume in 2005. After receiving his license he was involved in designing and coding a Real Estate iPhone app with Guy and purchased two investment properties.
