Harrods Estates Celebrates New Kensington Office Opening With a Glittering Launch Event

1430761064LONDON, UK - Leading prime central London estate agent, Harrods Estates, was delighted to launch its new office in Kensington yesterday evening, 30th April 2015. The glittering event was attended by 80 guests and well wishers from the local area along with Raine Countess Spencer, Ambassador for Harrods Estates, Michael Ward, Managing Director of the Harrods department store and Julian Cook, Managing Director of Harrods Estates.

Guests were greeted by the famous Harrods Green man and enjoyed champagne and canapés specially prepared by the Harrods banqueting team. Attendees also had the opportunity to have a ride in the Harrods horse and carriage, which drew attention from passing crowds and local residents.

Shirley Humphrey, Director at Harrods Estates commented: “We are delighted to officially open the new Kensington office which has been well received already by the local community. Many well wishers popped in to welcome us to Kensington Church Street, a real demonstration of community spirit. The launch event was an exciting way to open and celebrate our presence in an area, where we have been operating for over 20 years.”

Harrods Estates has been open since 1897 and was originally operated from within the Harrods department store. The Knightsbridge office opened in 1919, due to a growing team and client base, followed by Mayfair in 2005 and Chelsea in 2013. The new Kensington office has a team of eight and is headed up by Nicholas Shaw, who has worked for Harrods Estates since 2010 and has a wealth of experience of the Kensington area, both professionally and as a local resident.

The 1,272 square foot office will incorporate sales, letting and acquisition of Kensington’s finest properties, along with asset management, property management and new development services.
