1429221340VERO BEACH, FL – Dale Sorensen Real Estate, Inc. (DSRE) is proud to support community non-profit organizations by providing a “voice” through individual advertisements in a high– impressioned section of the Press Journal, the local newspaper of Vero Beach. DSRE recognizes the significance of charitable giving and is constantly creating new ways to make a positive impact on the Treasure Coast community with a goal of making philanthropic support more meaningful.

The initiative originated from a public need expressed to Dale Sorensen Jr., Managing Partner of DSRE, who manages a team of marketing professionals that support the agents and company as a whole by spearheading online projects and the impactful print advertising campaigns like the pieces seen in the Press Journal’s Sunday paper. Seeing the particular need and the constant struggle nonprofits face for exposure in many of the community publications, Sorensen, Jr. sought out longtime friend and community leader, Bob Brunjes, President and Publisher of Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers. Together, they developed a campaign to provide aid and free publicity to organizations that are without extra funding for substantial advertising.

1429221059Community leaders gather to develop programs to support this initiative, together, transforming the next generation of Indian River County. The Moonshot Moment Goal is to have 90% of all students reading on grade-level by third grade.

In early December of 2014, DSRE met the need for full-color, significant advertisement space, available only to 501c3 non-for-profit organizations in Indian River County. Organizations benefitting from the donation included the Boys & Girls Club, Environmental Learning Center, Vero Beach Museum of Art, Riverside Theater, Indian River Community Foundation, Hibiscus Children’s Center, Harvest Food & Outreach Center, Children’s Home Society, VNA, Indian River Medical Center, McKee Botanical Gardens, Indian River Firefighters’ Fair, Humane Society of Indian River County & Vero Beach, Impact 100, Junior League of Indian River, Whole Child and the Learning Alliance’s Moonshot Moment. These organizations have significantly benefited from the advertisement space, receiving a record readership of 90,000 print impressions, worth $330,969 annually.

Leaders of the organizations were effusive in their praise. “Your firm is making a major statement in demonstrating the support you provide to organizations in our community who make a difference in peoples’ lives. I hope you will be rewarded ten-fold! And our hope is that we can help the community understand the serious nature of literacy, how it affects children, families, business and the community at large. Your willingness to place this ad in your section has certainly helped us to leverage our campaign dollars, and we are very appreciative,” said Becky Allen, Moonshot Moment Advocate.

Family-owned and operated since its inception in 1978, DSRE is the leading real estate company in Vero Beach and Indian River County. With 540 million in sales between January 2014 and February 2015, DSRE continues to commit more resources toward future growth and success, both for the firm and for the community it serves. Each of the DSRE office locations participate and wholeheartedly give their time in a variety of different ways: by volunteering and providing financial assistance and/or goods. While the company specifics and logistics may be slightly different, nonprofits and DSRE share similar values and a commitment to the greater good, believing in a shared mission and vision.

“As we have evolved as a company we are always looking for new and innovative ways to market our real estate and we are now applying that same strategy to the philanthropic side of our company.” Dale Sorensen Jr. stated. “We want to try and help in all respective areas that we can, realizing many organizations struggle getting their message out to the public in a cost effective way. Partnering with the Press Journal on this new project, we have dedicated two, full-page, spaces in our exclusive weekly real estate section for local organizations to essentially advertise, at no cost to them. This is our first venture into trying to go above simple charitable giving by providing a free service to organizations and to assist meaningful groups in carrying their messages.”

DSRE is committed and will work to collaborate and support community organizations, provide the community with new perspectives and positive community impact by proving the importance of philanthropy and charitable giving for years to come.

The family owned and family run business was originated in 1978.  Now with five offices and over 100 agents and brokers, the company has experienced consistent growth in both sales and number of agents.
