Learn more about how he got his start in the real estate industry and further details on why Sea Island Properties is so successful.

How did you get your start in real estate?

I actually started in the mortgage banking industry and then migrated to a small residential firm in Atlanta where I served as the managing broker for 11 years. In 1992 I moved to Harry Norman, Realtors in Atlanta and in 1994 I was appointed President. In 2006, my partners and I sold the company to HomeServices of America, a Berkshire Hathaway company. I retired from Harry Norman in 2009 and started my own consulting company, Glenn Real Estate Consultants. In 2013, I joined Sea Island properties as Vice President, Real Estate Brokerage.

Why is your company successful?

A business succeeds simply because of the quality of its people and the relationships that they build and the visions that they share. You have to take a genuine interest in your employees and clients and put their needs first. This fosters a culture where providing exceptional service and care translates into a fun and profitable atmosphere to work. Our associates live by the Golden Rule, they work hard every day at being the most knowledgeable, real estate specialist they can be. They live by the six P’s. They are prepared, positive, passionate, persistent, patient and professional. Most importantly, they have impeccable integrity and high ethical standards. Attitude is the one magic key to success.

What are your favorite parts of your job?

The favorite part of my job is working with our associates and the clients that they represent. I enjoy seeing the respect and success that our associates enjoy in the marketplace, and we all thrive on having a satisfied customer/client at the end of each transaction.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I have nine grandchildren so that keeps me pretty busy, but I do enjoy golf and fishing.
