LAKE NORMAN, NC - On February 6, 2015, Lake Norman Realty associates and executives gathered at River Run Country Club for the company’s annual Awards Breakfast and Annual Report delivered by company president, Abigail Jennings.
Jane Getsinger, co-owner and Company Mom of Lake Norman Realty opened the meeting stressing the importance of the company’s roots in personal relationships and customer service. Although we live in a Facebook culture, Getsinger challenged everyone to strive for more “face look” time with one on one interaction included alongside their technology plans for 2015 and to always remember the power of the personal touch.
Jennings’ continued the presentation with her annual report celebrating associate achievements and overall growth statistics within the real estate market. She reported growth for the company as a whole in 2014, citing a healthy increase in closed sales volume as well as increased activity within their Relocation Department and Property Management Division, exceeding the goals set forth for 2014.

Jennings also announced the promotions of Denise Richards to Vice President of Relocation and Corporate Services, Ryan Kotis as Assistant Vice President of Commercial and Relocation Services, and Katie Carpenter as Vacation Rental Coordinator. She went on to highlight some of the new initiatives implemented at the firm in 2014 to provide higher service to associates and clients such as the addition of Office Geniuses to each branch office and new online resources and increased technology. In addition, exciting internal initiatives like going “greener” and raising awareness on true life balance enabled the company to make great strides towards attaining objectives. Lake Norman Realty’s family of staff and associates also grew in 2014 with twenty-three additions to their team.
Lake Norman Realty’s trademark support for the local community did not waiver in 2014. The company leant its financial support to over twenty-one local organizations and community events including Toys for Tots, Big Day at the Lake, 4th Annual Denver Community Day, Davidson Land Conservancy, Davidson Farmers Market, Health Fair with Dr. Oz, the Mooresville Artist’s Guild and many more.
The company’s efforts as a whole did not go unnoticed in the past year. Lake Norman Realty was honored by Charlotte Business Journal with three awards; “Largest Real Estate Companies”, “Largest Woman-Owned Companies”, and “Best Places to Work” top-finalist for the eighth consecutive year.
Following her annual report, Jennings presented awards to individual Lake Norman Realty associates for outstanding achievements in 2014. Jennings began by recognizing associates celebrating milestone anniversaries with the company: Dacè Swenson, Darlene Teeter, Crystal Fry, Denise Richards and Tom Gregory for five years, Nancy Wild for ten years and Nöel Clark for twenty years.
The company’s highest honors went to Service Provider of the Year, Richie Tomasini, for his record of excellence from surveyed 2014 seller and buyer clients. Paul Tyson received the Success Award. The coveted President’s Award went to Julie Jones for her amazing successes in 2014. Top listing awards went to Julie Jones for the Cornelius Office, Gail Huss for the Denver Office, Ann Scott for the Mooresville Office, Sally Parker for the Statesville Office, and for the overall Top Listing Associate for the Company, as well as the Davidson Office, Nancy Hucks. Top sales associates honored were Linda Schafer for the Denver Office, Ann Scott for the Mooresville Office, Tom Gregory for the Statesville Office, Nancy Hucks for the Davidson Office, and for the overall Top Sales Associate for the Company, as well as the Cornelius Office, Debbie Monroe.
After the 2014 awards presentation, Jennings shared her forecast and initiatives for 2015. Anticipating a similar market for 2015 of steady growth, the company is planning a major expansion to their Denver office, as well as additional benefits for all Lake Norman Realty associates to better serve their clients.
