RALEIGH, NC - Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices York Simpson Underwood Realty, one of the Triangle’s leading residential real estate firms, has announced the formation of the YSU REthink Council, an initiative that will bring together innovative young agents and affiliates to generate fresh ideas and discuss insights, issues and trends happening in the Triangle market.
The 10-person council, who will meet monthly, aims to bridge communication gaps with agents, affiliates and consumers of all ages and provide feedback to BHHS YSU leadership. Through regular meetings and events, the council will create opportunities for robust real estate discussion and networking among peers.
“The younger generations add to the dynamic future of residential real estate,” said Kyle Rank (pictured right), Managing Broker at BHHS YSU Chapel Hill and leader of the local REthink Council. “The object of the REthink Council is to better understand this important group and define ways to best serve its disparate members.”
REthink Council members were recommended by each BHHS YSU Managing Broker in the five offices located in the Triangle. The criteria for recommendation were agents under 40 years of age (for a millennial focus) with either proven success in real estate, or if a new agent a display of motivation, forward thinking and good ideas.
The BHHS YSU REthink Council is part of a larger national initiative by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices to promote leadership among its network; bridge generational communication gaps with agents, brokers and consumers; recruit and retain younger agents; and identify consumer trends in local markets across the country.
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices formed the National REthink Council in November 2013. The national council is comprised of a group of members, including BHHS YSU Cary Managing Broker, Player Murray (pictured left), aged 35 and under who were selected from among the network for their achievements in real estate and their superior integrity, business acumen and drive. The BHHS YSU REthink Council will work closely with National Council members to inspire Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices agents both in the Triangle and nationwide.
