In his new role, Van Hagen will assist buyer and seller clients from Hammond’s South End office located in the ATELIER 505 building at 505 Tremont Street.

1414773210A native of Southern Connecticut, Van Hagen fell in love with Boston while attending Boston College, where he earned his degree in Economics. Since then, John has lived in many Boston area neighborhoods including Brighton, Allston, Brookline, The Fenway, and Dorchester’s Polish Triangle, where he currently resides in the historical William Channing Clapp house built in 1820. Van Hagen’s interest in real estate began while renovating the family home over many years as a young man in high school and college with his father. Together, they replaced the roof, made HVAC upgrades, added a bathroom and laundry room, and finished the basement. House anatomy became more of a passion while working as a Business Manager for the well-known PBS home renovation program “This Old House,” where he oftentimes landed on the sets of “New Yankee Workshop” and “Victory Garden.”

Van Hagen went on to provide exceptional client service for over two decades while working as a successful store manager at five nationally-known retail brands, and he also served as a branch manager for Bank of America in Massachusetts. As a Hammond agent, Van Hagen looks forward to drawing upon his client service and project management skills to provide a tailored and personalized experience for all buyers and sellers considering the Boston real estate market.
