NEWPORT, RI — Lila Delman Real Estate, the source for luxury real estate, homes and rentals in the Rhode Island area since 1964, announces the promotion of two real estate associates.
Stephen Antoni of Richmond, a Warwick native, has been promoted to the role of Professional Development Director, a newly created position at Lila Delman Real Estate. He previously served as manager of the Newport office.
In his new role, Antoni will act as a coordinator between the six offices and serve as liaison between Lila Delman Real Estate and the Rhode Island Association of REALTORS® (RIAR), the Statewide Multiple Listing Service (MLS), and the National Association of Realtors. He will also assist licensees with transactions, training and education, which compliments his work as an instructor for RIAR.
“I am excited to take on this new position at Lila Delman Real Estate which will give me the opportunity to continue practicing real estate, while concurrently teaching and assisting other associates in the firm, to help enhance their skills and grow the company,” said Antoni.
“This is another positive step in our continuing efforts to provide the real estate services to our clients and associates,” said Melanie Delman, President of Lila Delman Real Estate.
Antoni, former President of the Rhode Island Association of Realtors (2011), was named “Realtor of the Year” for the state of Rhode Island in 2007. He is a former member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of REALTORS® and was a weekly radio talk show host on WPRO for many years. Antoni also served three terms as a Town Councilor in Richmond.
While Antoni is currently a broker associate with licenses in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, he once served as a cruise director and entertainer, traveling and singing on cruise ships throughout the world.
He currently gives back to his home state of Rhode Island by serving as Vice-President of Habitat for Humanities, South County chapter, as well as working with other charities throughout the state.
Lila Delman Real Estate also announces the promotion of Robin Nicholson of Newport as manager of the Newport office.
Nicholson, a native of Wellfleet, MA, and graduate of the University of Rhode Island, first joined Lila Delman Real Estate in 2005. Since then, she and Melanie Delman have been honored by the Kent Washington Association of Realtors for three consecutive years.
For three consecutive years, Nicholson and Delman were named Platinum Plus award winners and as the number one, top-producing team for total dollar value sold.
The mother of two children and a former small business owner, Nicholson also serves as a member of St. Columba’s Chapel, the Ida Lewis Yacht Club and the Architectural Forum.
