March 4, 2005- Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate and Board of Regents member Shari Chase was recently featured on San Francisco’s ABC news affiliate KGO-TV for a special report on luxury homes in the Lake Tahoe region.  Shari guides reporter Leigh Glasser through a handful of beautiful luxury homes on the market for $6 million and up.  Gorgeous wine cellars, cozy theater rooms, and breathtaking private views are only a taste of the amenities these homes include.

Due to successful brokerages such as Chase International, sales of luxury vacation homes in Tahoe have rocketed up 34% from the previous year.  The surprisingly sudden high demand for these homes has driven up prices as well.  A 6,000 square foot, 3-story lodge with 350 feet of waterfront in Incline Village is selling for just under $7 million; while a 9,000 square foot home that boasts “The best views in the world” is selling for $14 million.  “The billionaires are chasing out the millionaires,” Sheri tells the reporter

Though Chase International is based in Lake Tahoe, CA, 70% of the customers looking for luxury homes in Lake Tahoe are from the San Francisco Bay Area.
