Walker, Morey to host ArtHouse 2007 in ChicagoCHICAGO (Jan. 19, 2007) – Wes Walker and Donnie Morey, real estate agents with Real Living Infinity in Chicago, have teamed with art promoter Phillip Bernal and AidsCare to host an unusual art exhibit and open house fundraiser event: ArtHouse 2007. The event will be held on Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, from 5 to 9 p.m. at 2523 N. Campbell Ave., Chicago, IL 60647. The event will not only promote 12 local artists and raise money for AidsCare, a not-for-profit residence and service agency for people living with HIV/AIDS, but it will also showcase the two 5,000-square foot new construction homes that the agents have listed for $1,180,000 each in the Logan Square Neighborhood.“With so many homes available in this slower real estate market, it has become increasingly more difficult to get buyers, as well as other real estate agents, to visit the new listings,” Walker said. “This is a fun, creative and beneficial way to make that happen.”The Realtors®, charity, art promoter, artists and other sponsors are all sharing mailing lists to help with attendance. “This is a great way to get exposure for our listings,” Walker said.One of the new 5,000-square foot homes will be converted into an art gallery for the evening. Each room will be filled with art work. The family room will host a “donation martini bar,” and food and drink will be provided in the new kitchen by Yumm! Catering. “We’re very excited,” Walker said. “The layout of this house is going to make a great art gallery!”Admission is free, but a percentage of the art sales, as well as the donations from the martini bar, will be donated to AidsCare.
