Building a Brand Name and ImageEveryone at the full-service firm strives to enhance the company's brand name and image by improving their real estate skills. For example, in addition to the company's exclusive training program for new agents, in 2004 the firm began offering an eight-week class called Building Exceptional Sales People Through Training (BESTT), delivered by Ellen Boyle, an accomplished real estate sales agent and trainer.  Diane Turton, Realtors also sponsors an educational seminar program each fall.  In 2004, sales associates learned about pricing homes in today's fast-paced real estate market, which was presented by renowned real estate appraiser Jeffrey Otteau, president of The Otteau Appraisal Group. In addition, the company collaborates with Mr. Otteau to produce Turton Trends, a biannual bulletin that keeps clients informed about real estate trends on the Jersey Shore and in South Florida.

Focus on Unparalleled Customer ServiceThe company also invests its resources to improve all facets of the operation. In 2004, the firm revamped its Signature Service initiative, a proactive process for accessing customer needs and satisfaction at critical times during the selling process.  In the Spring of 2004, the firm's Web site was completely redesigned to give buyers and sellers an edge in the real estate market. Now, clients can view hundreds of properties listed on several Multiple Listing Services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The company also opened three new offices and renovated two others during 2004. The new offices, located in Middletown, Neptune City and Ocean Township, are each staffed with a team of sales associates serving northern Monmouth County. The sales offices in Brick and Lacey were remodeled to provide extra space for sales associates and customers. Office openings in Surf City and Sea Bright are planned for the first quarter of 2005.

Giving back to the communityThroughout the year, the company regularly gives back to the communities it serves.  Management and sales associates alike contribute their time, talents and financial resources to non-profit groups, sports teams and schools as well as individual students. For over a year, the firm has provided a rent-free storefront space in Spring Lake to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and the Greater Spring Lake Chamber of Commerce. Local residents have brought over 20 tons of food to this location during the last 12 months. Just before this holiday season began, the company helped "heat up" food contributions by donating over 150 Thanksgiving turkeys to the FoodBank.

Reinforcing the company's image as a leader in the community and the real estate industry, many organizations have praised the firm's corporate social responsibility. Ms. Turton was honored with several awards in 2004 including Humanitarian of the Year by the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean counties and the ATHENA award, which is presented to individuals who have achieved success in their business or profession, given back in a significant way to their community, and assisted women in reaching their full potential.
