BLUFFTON, S.C. – Jennifer Harsta recently joined luxury real estate marketer Cora Bett Thomas Realty & Associates, an exclusive affiliate of Christie’s Great Estates, as a sales associate at the firm’s Bluffton office. In this role, Harsta acts as both a listing agent and buying agent, specializing in residential Lowcountry real estate. “People are important to me and I really look forward to assisting them with their buying and selling needs,” she said. “Honesty, care, concern and the best interest of my clients in every aspect is my commitment as an agent.”A North Carolina native, Harsta graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. in 1986 and became a Kindermusik Certified Educator in 2002. She is a member of Lowcountry Community Church in Bluffton and serves on the church’s Creative Team, which helps direct and produce Sunday services. Also, she has served on the board of directors for The Sandbox, the Hilton Head Island-area children’s museum, for more than three years. She also offers volunteer production assistance at her children’s schools. “To stay home with my children was an easy decision to make after having a successful business for many years previous, but the service oriented nature that is part of my make up does not allow me to stay away from the work force any longer,” she said. “The nurturing skill I possess will be an asset to the relationship I share with my clients in the real estate world. She taught almost 200 families in Bluffton and Hilton Head Island in the first eight months of business, but then passed the business down to another instructor after the birth of her third son. Before moving to Bluffton, Harsta owned and operated a dance school in Wilmington, N.C. for 18 years where she taught ballet, tap and jazz to children and adults. Currently, she lives at Rose Hill Plantation in Bluffton with her husband, Roel, and their three sons. The family enjoys outdoor activities that include playing soccer, baseball and other sports and loves boating on the area’s beautiful rivers and local waterways.
