San Francisco, CA - August 13, 2012 - The Noe Valley office of Zephyr Real Estate recently achieved San Francisco Green Business recognition. Noe Valley is the first of Zephyr's six offices to accomplish this goal; the other branches are in the process of earning the distinction.
The initiative to 'go green' is led by a team of agents and enthusiastically supported by management and staff. Teri Cavanaugh, Rita Roti, Rey Doctora, Greg Polchow and Michelle Stephens are the agents who comprise the 'Zephyr Green Team.' They gather monthly to learn the process, identify suppliers, vendors and contractors and implement the necessary steps in a quick and efficient manner. Their work has paid off.
As a result of those efforts, the green Noe Valley office has thus far saved 6,860 pounds of CO2 greenhouse gas emissions, 6,496 kWh of energy, 25,516 gallons of water and 92 gallons of fuel. These numbers are based on statistics provided by SFGB.

The San Francisco Green Business Association is comprised of three City agencies: SF Environment, San Francisco Department of Public Works, and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. The Association is a member of the Bay Area Green Business Program and the California Green Business Network. These firms all work to help businesses adopt environmental practices that are sustainable as well as profitable.
SFGB program standards were developed by industry experts, pollution prevention professionals, City inspectors and trade associations.
