1344528318Surterre’s recent Newport Beach area eWaste drive, held at its Fashion Island headquarters on July 28th did a tremendous amount of good for the environment, collecting 3,909 pounds (over 1.6 tons) of electronic waste, and approximately 5,500 pounds of paper to be shredded and recycled. For this event, Surterre and the local community’s commitment to ProShred’s environmentally conscious shredding and recycling service saved 58 trees.

A free service to the public held on a quarterly basis in three different areas of Orange County, Surterre’s eWaste drives offer individuals an easy opportunity to keep our planet and its landfills clean. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to bring those old electronics they don’t know what to do with (clunky television sets, fax machines, printers, and the like), and paper to be shredded by ProShred to these events where they will be collected and recycled. Best of all, participants don’t even have to leave their car. There are no forms to complete, and any stored data will be safely and completely eradicated.

We’re thrilled at how well-received these drives continue to be.”
