The 2012 Steamboat Springs Parade of Homes, presented by Colorado Group Realty, will take place Saturday, August 4. The self-guided tour from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. provides an opportunity to visit stunning mountain properties located in five different Steamboat neighborhoods. Tickets are $20 per person with proceeds benefiting the Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation.
“These residences represent a variety of styles exhibited in mountain homebuilding,” said Bart Kounovsky, board member of the Charitable Foundation. “Participants will experience a slice of mountain living not usually seen by the public.”
The six residences ranging from 2,800 to 10,000+ square feet will also showcase five different areas: Buffalo Pass, the Mountain Area, Dakota Ridge and Alpine Mountain Ranch. Buffalo Pass is one of the highest points in the area, with acres of National Forest nearby. The mountain area real estate is some of the most coveted in Steamboat Springs, for its close proximity to the Steamboat Ski Area. The homes in Dakota Ridge offer country living just up the Yampa River from the city limits. Alpine Mountain Ranch features rolling hills and solitude in a private community setting.
The Steamboat Springs Parade of Homes is scheduled to coincide with one of the most anticipated events of the summer, The Wine Festival at Steamboat. The Wine Festival at Steamboat features more than 100 food artisans, wineries, breweries, distilleries, epicurean purveyors, and locally-made products.
In addition to The Wine Festival at Steamboat, Parade of Homes participants can also enjoy a variety of summer events and activities that exemplify the Steamboat Springs lifestyle including shopping, art galleries, music concerts, rodeo and much more.
“The Steamboat Springs Parade of Homes will be a treat, and perhaps even the highlight of the weekend,” said Kounovsky. “All proceeds will go to deserving charities within the Yampa Valley.”
