The FIABCI 63rd World Congress attracted over 800 international professionals from the real estate industry, representing over 60 countries. The event took place from May 12-16, in one of the most beautiful Congress halls in Europe – the Corinthia Nevsky Palace.

FIABCI-Russia was pleased to welcome professionals within the global real estate industry to attend this important forum,” said Alexander Romanenko, FIABCI’s Immediate Past World President and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 63rd World Congress. “Attendees to this World Congress were among the first to get the insight of new realities of the development of the real estate market after the world economic crisis. One of the most interesting themes of the Congress was the preservation of cultural heritage in a modern developing city utilizing St. Petersburg and other world capitals as examples.”

She focused on the outstanding lifestyle and a variety of property types available for purchase. She said, the immediate response was ‘beautiful photos, beautiful place’. “Many people were not familiar with Steamboat, so it was educational. I was told that ski resorts are ‘sexy’”, she reported. “Right now Australians make up a large segment of our international buyers. The new winter flight from Los Angeles to Hayden/Steamboat Springs will make it easier for the Aussies to get here.
