On May 31, 2012, The New York Times website featured on their home page, Villa Greco, a St. Maarten house listed for sale by Rodger Boutelle of RE/MAX Island Properties. The article and photos highlighted the 5,800 square foot Almond Grove villa as well as information about St. Maarten and buying real estate on the island.
Villa Greco was chosen by the New York Times after searching the entire Caribbean for their House Hunting section which features a Caribbean Villa with water views. Villa Greco with its expansive views of the Caribbean Sea certainly fits into this category, but it was the extensive amenities including an outdoor kitchen, lush gardens, use of Brazilian teak wood throughout and the infinity swimming pool that made them choose this villa as their featured property.
It was not merely an article on real estate, but about why St. Maarten is unique including mention of our mega-yacht center, our numerous beaches as well as the multicultural flair of an island governed by two countries.
