1339105421RUMSON: Resources Real Estate’s two offices were awarded for their participation in a local breast cancer awareness event and in the process garnered a lot of positive attention for the boutique real estate firm.

A regular supporter of local community organizations, the company took their commitment to a new level with their involvement in Paint the Town Pink, Riverview Medical Center’s annual event to encourage annual mammography screening. Each of the company’s offices in Monmouth Beach and Rumson were named winners for their business displays, and in addition, the company generated over 10,000 votes on Facebook from members of the public who voted for their favorite office design.

1339105519“Of course we’re biased but we were very impressed by each office’s display,” said Carolynn Ozar Diakon, broker and founding partner of the company. “Our agents’ strong commitment is always evident in their professional work. It was great to see it demonstrated in community service, as well.”

Whether it was the Rumson office’s over-the-top ‘survivor’ themed décor complete with a ‘survivor’ mannequin and pink ribbon on the roof of the building, or the Monmouth Beach office’s design which encouraged mammography screening, each display was labeled a winner by the event’s organizers. In addition, all of the company’s listings had signs decorated with pink bows, pink open houses were held during the week-long event and pink lemonade was sold to raise money for the cause.

“Their enthusiasm was infectious!” said Stacey Donovan, Paint the Town Pink Chair. “Resources Real Estate truly helped us cast a wider pink hue in Monmouth County this year and spread the message of the importance of annual mammography and early detection.”

1339105550“Honestly, even we were surprised by the response,” said Thomas McCormack, broker and managing partner of the 10,000-plus votes cast on Facebook. “We regularly use social media as a marketing tool but the public participation was truly overwhelming.”

The company hopes to increase its involvement in the organization’s future efforts and has already begun to plan for next year’s event. But meanwhile the winning team – Monmouth Beach – will be treated to a special surprise reward later this month.

Said Diakon, “We already knew they were winners – now we’re proud that others have recognized it as well.”

“Through their efforts throughout Pink Week, Resources Real Estate, helped us raise monies to provide mammograms to uninsured and underserved women in our community,” added Donovan. “We are grateful to Resources for their commitment to Paint the Town Pink and to the women in our community.”
