1338416579Vail, Colo. - May 30, 2012 - Slifer Smith & Frampton has taken a strong interest in supporting the public schools of Eagle County. Education Foundation of Eagle County is an organization raising private funds to fill the current gap in public funding for our local schools. With a strong belief that our schools are a reflection of our community and neighborhoods, SSF has offered to match their brokers' donations with a commitment total of $10,000.

This is in addition to the roughly 5% of net income that SSF donates annually to Eagle County charities and non-profit organizations.

“As a company that was founded in the Vail Valley 50 years ago, we’ve watched the area grow from a vision to a world-class destination. We recognize the importance of philanthropy in achieving, maintaining and enhancing the place we call home,” said Jim Flaum, president and managing broker.

Slifer Smith & Frampton has donated or sponsored more than 75 local organizations. Organizations touched by their philanthropy range from those focusing on issues in the medical field, social issues, local beautification, sporting activities, education and local business development.

“Vail, Beaver Creek and the surrounding areas became what they are today because visionaries committed themselves to a cause. We believe that a key component to a strong community is the willingness of its residents and businesses to give back,” said Flaum. “We lead by example and encourage our brokers to do so too.”
