When people talk about showing their true colors they rarely get this specific, but this month it’s clear. It’s Pink.
One company that is ready to make it their business to show their colors is Resources Real Estate whose agents have committed to help “Paint The Town Pink” in order to raise awareness about breast cancer and the need for annual mammograms for women over age 40. It’s an annual event organized by Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, now in its sixth year, and takes place on May 4-12.
To help the cause, Resources Real Estate’s two office locations in Rumson and Monmouth Beach will be decorated for the event and compete for votes from the public via their Facebook page. In addition, Resources has invited their clients to participate in the event by decorating their own homes to show support.
“Resources Real Estate has always valued and supported the local community,” said Carolynn Ozar Diakon, broker owner. “We’re a local company, not a national franchise, so it’s important to us to be active members of the towns in which we do business -- plus we like to have fun.”
All of Resources Real Estate’s homes for sale in the “Pink” participating towns of Atlantic Highlands, Fair Haven, Holmdel, Little Silver, Monmouth Beach, Red Bank, Rumson, and Shrewsbury, will be invited to participate and have their signs decorated to show support. For those clients that further decorate – or “Pink their home” - for the event, the company will be rewarding them pink t-shirts created for the occasion.
“We think it’s great to be able to show support of such a worthy cause and it’s fun to be able to do it in such a visible way,” said Thomas McCormack, broker and Diakon’s business partner.
People can view the designs online on Facebook and vote for (“like”) their favorite office.
Carolynn Diakon opened Resources Real Estate, a full service real estate company in 2000. Thomas McCormack was with the company as an agent for eight years before joining her as a partner in 2010.
