Friday, September 08, 2006 Gold Coast Prestige Real Estate keeps breaking records. What is believed to be Queensland's most expensive home not on the beachfront has sold. With an original asking price of $16.5 million, "Baltimore" as the home is known was featured on "60 Minutes". Set over 4 levels and more than 2000 square metres the home features a 6000 litre tropical aquarium, garaging for 15 cars and a 3000 bottle climate controlled wine cellar. For the active there is always the indoor heated lap pool and fully equipped gymnasium. Agent Blair Carter of Coldwell Banker Property Australia completed the sale of the luxurious 7 bedroom Sovereign Islands home yesterday. The property was sold in conjunction with Doug Green of PRD as the listing agent. The final sale price of the property has not been disclosed, however it shatters the record for the most expensive home in Sovereign Islands and is believed to be the most expensive home in Queensland, that is not on the beach. Blair Carter said "as is often the case in sales like this the details are confidential. However the buyer is an Australian who loves the Gold Coast lifestyle and is currently living overseas". Blair had been working with the Buyer for over 12 months, looking at only the most prestigious homes on the Gold Coast. The lucky buyer inspected on Sunday and Monday, falling in love with the property and immediately moving to purchase the property.
