1324318255For the fifth consecutive year, Lake Norman Realty has been honored as a top-ranked finalist in the Charlotte Business Journal's "Best Places to Work" Contest. This year the firm placed second in the Mid-Sized Business category for the Charlotte-metro region. Lake Norman Realty President Abigail Jennings accepted the award at the Best Places to Work gala held at the Charlotte Convention Center on November 4th. Roughly 640 people attended the gala celebrating companies that have successfully created workplaces valued by their employees. “This year’s award was especially meaningful due to the economy’s effect on the real estate industry,” said Jennings. "Many firms have had to close their doors due to market changes over the past few years." In contrast, 2011 was a year of above-market growth for Lake Norman Realty. When asked about this remarkable feat, Jennings credited her commitment to listening to associates. “I value the opinions and suggestions of our team, and as a result of working together we have grown during this unprecedented real estate downturn. The reason we attract and retain the best talent is our family atmosphere of real support. It’s really not rocket-science; it’s about making an effort to understand what each individual needs and wants in a workplace."

In 2011, Lake Norman Realty marks its 33rd year of excellence serving the Lake Norman community as a one-stop shop for real estate transactions. The firm has nearly 90 associates and staff with five offices in Cornelius, Mooresville, Davidson, Denver, and Statesville, specializing in the Lake Norman region from Statesville to Charlotte. In addition to its full-service real estate services, Lake Norman Realty also offers in-house mortgages, insurance, a full spectrum of property leasing and management, and complete commercial and relocation services.
