CHICAGO, Illinois—(November 11, 2010)—Joan M. Erni, Director of Relocation & Referral Services for Michael Saunders & Company, has been awarded a seat on the Board of Directors for the prestigious Relocation Directors Council. A member of the RDC since 1999, Erni will serve a two-year team on the board during which time she will help set policy and manage the relocation activities of over 250 of the largest and most diverse residential real estate firms in the U.S.
Prior to being elevated to its Board of Directors, Ms. Erni served on a majority of RDC’s committees, including as a mainstay of its Membership Committee, Chair of the Mentoring Program, first ever Chairman of the RDC Sponsorship Committee and a participant in the 2010 RDC Strategic Planning Committee. As part of her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of industry professionalism, Erni has earned her Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) and Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) designations from Worldwide ERC.
On a more personal note, her appointment to the board makes her the first ever “second generation” member of the RDC Board of Directions. Her mother, a Long Island real estate management executive, was president of the organization in 2003.
