Colorado Group Realty Earns Housing Award

1285344450STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO— The Colorado Association of Realtors Housing Opportunity Foundation (CARHOF) recently recognized Colorado Group Realty as the top 2010 local contributor, from the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors. CARHOF generates revenue from interest earned on earnest money deposits and donations from Realtors and others in the real estate industry. The revenue is used to assist housing efforts across the state, through non profit and public housing agencies. Since its inception, CARHOF has donated more than 7 million dollars statewide.The Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors annually grants CARHOF funds to local non-profit and public housing agencies. This year, recipients include: Advocates Building Peaceful Communities, Horizon Specialized Services, Lift-Up of Routt County, Routt County Foundation for Senior Citizens, Routt County Habitat for Humanity and the Yampa Valley Housing Authority. The Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors has granted $110,000 to local organizations since 2003. Colorado Group Realty joined CARHOF in that same year. “This is just another way in which Colorado Group Realty contributes to our community” said CGR board of directors’ member Shelly Stanford.
