Diane Turton Honored As “An Exceptional Woman” POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NEW JERSEY (November 18, 2005) – Diane Turton, president and broker/owner of Diane Turton, Realtors, was recently selected as one of a select group of  “Exceptional Women” by WJRZ radio, Oldies 100, in its first annual "Exceptional Women of the Year" program.

Ms. Turton was honored during the awards dinner held November 15th at the Quality Inn in Toms River, where she received the reward that highlights her many contributions to Monmouth and Ocean Counties.  Proceeds from the silent action benefited the Childhood Leukemia Foundation.

This annual event honors those women that have made significant contributions to their families, careers and communities.  “We want to honor and recognize women who dedicate themselves to making the community a better place for all of us, and Ms. Turton clearly fits the bill,” said Mike Kazala, Station Manger, WJRZ radio.

During a 10-week period, listeners were asked to nominate exceptional women via fax, mail, or e- mail.  Every Friday morning from August 15 through November 4, two exceptional women were chosen and their names were announced on the Oldies 100 morning show.“When I heard my name announced as one of these exceptional women, I was honored,” said Ms. Turton.  “Giving back to the communities we serve has always been part of Diane Turton, Realtors’ philosophy.  To be honored personally for my commitment to helping others is an unexpected surprise. I want to thank WJRZ radio and their listeners, as well as my entire team as well as our loyal clients. Without their support, I would not be in the position I am today to be able to support so many worthwhile causes.”In the spirit of giving back to those in need, in addition to bidding on several silent auction items at the event, Ms. Turton made a substantial contribution to the Childhood Leukemia Foundation after being so moved by the explanation of the organization given by its Executive Director, Barbara Reid.Ms. Turton and her firm, Diane Turton, Realtors, have recently claimed several other awards, including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2005 New Jersey Award for Real Estate, a program that recognizes a select group of entrepreneurs whose ingenuity, hard work and perseverance have created and sustained successful business ventures.   In addition, Diane Turton, Realtors was recently selected among the top 25 in NJ Biz Magazine’s “New Jersey’s Finest” annual program that recognizes the Garden State’s 50 fastest growing companies.  About Diane Turton, Realtors Founded in 1986, Diane Turton, Realtors is a full-service real estate company with 23 offices throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
