Diane Turton Appointed Member of Rider University’s Business Advisory Board

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NEW JERSEY (October 26, 2005) – Diane Turton, President and Broker/Owner of Diane Turton, Realtors, recently attended her first meeting as a newly appointed member of the Business Advisory Board of Rider University, her alma mater.  “The experience was both stimulating and gratifying, both professionally and personally. I am privileged to be part of this elite group of business leaders,” said Ms. Turton.  “As a Board member, I provide ideas and guidance on the continuing development of business education at Rider.  I appreciate the chance to give back to the university that provided me with such a solid foundation in the field that has become my life’s work.”Founded in 1983, Rider University’s Business Advisory Board (BAB) has been an increasingly valuable resource to the University.  BAB members have been instrumental in shaping the College of Business Administration’s (CBA) emphasis on experiential learning, particularly in the areas of communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.  As a body of informed, proactive advisers, the BAB has helped the School anticipate and address such issues as managing diversity, globalization, business ethics, total quality management and information technology.  Members also participate in the classroom as part of the “Cultivating Resources for Excellence in the World of Work” (CREWW), co-curricular program in Rider's College of Business Administration which focuses on the CBA mission of developing interpersonal and leadership skills.“We are pleased to have Ms. Turton join us,” said Dr. Larry Newman, Dean of the College of Business Administration   “Her, entrepreneurial spirit, leadership skills, and extensive community involvement will be valuable assets to our Business Advisory Board.”
