Diane Turton, Realtors Supports Victims of Hurricane Katrina Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey – When Diane Turton, president and broker/owner of Diane Turton, Realtors, heard of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, she turned to her management team to discuss how they could help.
The company immediately launched a drive to collect money for the American Red Cross. As agents, managers and staff members from each of the company’s 24 locations contributed to the fund, donations were also dropped off by clients and members of the public.
At the company’s annual clambake held recently, more contributions were collected at the door from staff, agents, vendors and business associates, as well as friends and family. Diane and Bruce Turton donated $2 for every dollar that was collected from all company locations.
“As soon as we learned of the catastrophic event that has affected so many in Louisiana and Mississippi, our offices came together as one and started brainstorming about how we could help,” explained Ms. Turton. “In addition to collecting for the American Red Cross, our offices united with their local communities to help those affected by the hurricane. For example, our Lavallette office partnered with the Borough of Lavallette to collect clothing and other donations that are being shipped to those in need. The Brick office donated generously to the Hurricane Katrina Project Hope Fundraising Concert held at Windward Beach Park in Brick last week. I am incredibly proud of our entire team’s efforts to come together and provide so much help at such a critical time for so many displaced families.”
Collectively, Diane Turton, Realtors donated more than $20,000 to various organizations, including the American Red Cross (Jersey Coast Chapter) and Salvation Army.
