Marin, CA – July 27, 2009 – Pacific Union Real Estate has long been known in the communities it serves as a firm that is committed to giving back and doing the right thing to help others. In the company’s Marin offices, Pacific Union agents and leaders are investing their time and promotional dollars in a new Community Partnership Campaign with local charitable organizations. During August, Pacific Union will partner with Senior Access Adult Day Services to promote aging education and services in Marin. Senior Access is a San Rafael-based nonprofit that provides a range of programs enhancing the quality of life for older adults and their families dealing with memory loss.

“Real estate is about smoothing each family’s transition, not just closing a transaction. Pacific Union’s new Community Partnership Campaign allows us to collaborate with organizations that make Marin a better place to live,” said Dana Kunz, Pacific Union’s Vice President of Business Development in Marin. “Pacific Union’s ties to Senior Access are very personal; our agents are advisors, donors, volunteers and clients. Senior Access is special because it helps caregivers keep their loved ones with memory loss at home and connected to the community they enjoy.”

Since 1973, Senior Access has been dedicated to helping people care for their mothers, fathers, spouses, sisters, brothers and friends with Alzheimer’s disease and chronic health conditions. They provide both interesting daily activities for people living with memory loss and support to those who would otherwise be spending 24 hours a day attending to their loved ones.

“On behalf of our board of directors, staff and families we care for, we thank you Pacific Union for your commitment to supporting and building our community,” said Cris Chater, Executive Director of Senior Access. “I know this campaign will touch many people's lives. We are honored to be a part of it.”

Pacific Union salutes its partners Wayfinder Response Marketing in San Francisco and photographer Sean Desmond of Medicine Agency who have also generously contributed to this program by offering their creative services to develop ads and images.

On August 19, Senior Access is hosting a dedication event for a quilt made by the Mt. Tam Quilt Guild. The event will be held at The Wilfred George Adult Day Center in San Rafael.

Senior Access welcomes families seeking assistance and volunteers sharing their time. With public and private funding diminishing, the public is invited to join Pacific Union Marin in contributing to Senior Access at www.senioraccess.org, or call 415.491.2500.
