Kentwood Companies Dominate Denver Board's 2008 Roundtable of Excellence Awards

DENVER - (April 2009) – In an unprecedented display of what it takes to succeed in a challenging real estate market, The Kentwood Companies and its leading real estate professionals recently dominated the Denver Board of Realtors’ 2008 Roundtable of Excellence awards celebration. Held April 17, 2009 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Denver, the awards gala honored DBR members who achieved the highest levels of sales production and community service.

John Fitzpatrick, general manager of The Kentwood Company in the Denver Tech Center, was recognized as Broker/Manager of the Year, having shown outstanding leadership, commitment, and skill in the real estate industry.

Dee Chirafisi, broker and co-owner of Kentwood City Properties, captured top honors for individual sales volume in 2008 with more than $44 million in sales. The number one office in sales volume with between 31 and 50 agents was The Kentwood Company DTC with over $400 million in total production for 2008. The number three office in the same category was Kentwood City Properties, with The Kentwood Company at Cherry Creek garnering the number three spot with offices of 50-plus agents.

Kentwood brokers in the top 10 in total sales production included Sandy Weigand (No. 2), Edie Marks (No. 4), and Chuck Gargotto (No. 5). Top 10 teams from The Kentwood Companies included Bobbie Lou Miller and Jennifer Dechtman (No. 8), and Kevin Garrett and Matt McNeill (No. 9). Garrett and McNeill also garnered runner-up honors in total team sides. Kentwood broker associate John Burns snared No. 2 honors for Top Project Volume and the No. 3 spot for Top Project Sides. Tenth place for Top Individual Sides was Kentwood agent Dotson Skaggs.

These Kentwood winners and others were honored in a full page ad in The Denver Post on April 19th. Gretchen Faber, co-managing broker of The Kentwood Company at Cherry Creek, served as the host for the 2008 Roundtable of Excellence Awards gala. The April 17th event included keynote motivational speaker Sarah Michel, special door prizes, and lunch at the Ritz-Carlton. The Roundtable was established under the authority of the Denver Board of Realtors in order to give recognition to residential real estate sales people for achievement in the listing, selling, and referring of real property.
