Director Jerry Kidd Leads Five Part Series Called Stealth Marketing

San Francisco, CA – March 25, 2008 – Agents at Pacific Union Real Estate are a twitter with new opportunities thanks to the stealth marketing strategies courses offered this year by Jerry Kidd, Pacific Union’s internal Director of Training. Kidd, a licensed real estate broker who specializes in technology training and implementation, has been helping agents develop an integrated marketing plan that masterfully combines new social networking tools with traditional media marketing for maximum effectiveness. The hands-on courses taught by Kidd are exclusive to Pacific Union agents and are the only such classes offered by a real estate firm anywhere at no charge, providing benefits to agents and their clients.

“Winning new clients, satisfying and retaining current clients in today’s market requires the ability to show consumers exactly what we do for them and how we do it,” said Kidd. “Pacific Union is committed to helping our agents get to where they need to be. Once all of the classes in my series are completed, an agent will be able to find and communicate with present and future clients using all of the different styles of marketing available today. Understanding the intersection of marketing and technology and building on the strength of traditional and new media is an extremely important value-add that our agents can now offer their clients.”

The five-part class series in 2009 is called Stealth Marketing, and follows a logical progression to ensure agents gain the required knowledge to advance through the program. Starting with the first two classes, Kidd lays a foundation for agents to build upon as the courses continue. To advance to the final three hands-on classes, agents must have already completed the first two courses in preparation. The interactive classes require a laptop or netbook computer, and agents are led through the process of registering a domain name, creating and posting a blog (class three) establishing a twitter account (class four), and setting up and optimizing a Facebook page (class five). Once these new methods are established, the agents will learn how to optimize them to their benefit and those of their clients.

“Thanks for your insightful, educational and timely classes, and for really kicking things up a notch with your technology knowledge. It is great to have that support and encouragement within Pacific Union,” said Eileen Birmingham, an agent in firm’s Opera Plaza office. “My blog, Inside SF Real Estate, was featured on SF Curbed yesterday, and my page views went through the roof. I think the important thing agents need to know is that, as with everything in real estate, taking advantage of technology needs to translate into consistent, long-term activities. I have no doubt I will eventually get closed business based on my online presence.”
