Popular Television Host, Newspaper Columnist, Educator and Public Speaker honored for Outstanding Real Estate Professionalism

San Mateo, Calif., February 17, 2009 – Bobbi Decker, the host of two San Francisco Bay Area television programs, a newspaper columnist, community activist, and recognized real estate industry leader, was recently named 2008 Realtor® of The Year by the San Mateo County Association of Realtors (SAMCAR). The announcement was made at SAMCAR’s annual Board of Director Installation Dinner held on January 11th at Hyatt Hotel in Burlingame California.

“This is quite a surprise and an honor, given that my peers in the profession selected me from more than 3,000 members of our Association. I thank my associates, clients, and teammates for helping me receive this once-in-a-lifetime honor,” commented Ms. Decker.

Lead-up remarks to the announcement by the evening’s Master of Ceremonies, Steve Titsworth painted a vivid picture of success and professionalism. “What can we say about this person, except that her enthusiasm is infectious? … She boosts the morale of her clients, the service providers she chooses to work with and most importantly her peers. ..  She has a huge heart and extends herself to all those in need.  Many local charities benefit from her generosity.  If there’s a cause you can bet she’ll be behind it!  Her dedication knows no bounds.  Not only does she practice real estate full time and then some, but she also is a teacher at Anthony Schools. Perhaps, her desire to further our education comes from the fact that at one point she helped develop the minds of High School students as their Biology teacher.  She also hosts one of the most watched real estate television programs in our area.  We cannot say enough about this intelligent, tireless, energetic, talented and motivated woman.  She is a consummate professional from the top of her well-groomed head to the tips of her stylish shoes!”
