ATLANTA, GA (February 3, 2009)- Beacham & Company marked its second full year in business with a 33% increase in annual sales dollar volume despite a turbulent housing market.

Dac Carver, managing broker of Beacham & Company, attributed the firm’s success in 2008 to the quality of its agents. Beacham & Company agents were once again the most productive agents in metro Atlanta for the second straight year, selling nearly double the dollar volume of real estate than the agents of the next closest company. In addition, the company strengthened its position as the top office for dollar volume of listings sold in Buckhead and Intown Atlanta in the $750,000 and up category.

Beacham also established these other milestones in 2008:

• #1 in dollar volume of listings sold for $1 million-plus (15 percent market share)

• #1 in dollar volume of listings sold for $2 million-plus (25 percent market share)

• #1 in dollar volume of listings sold for $3 million-plus (40 percent market share)

• #1 highest average sales price per sale in metro Atlanta ($1.14 million)

“I think one key to our success is that we haven’t grown too fast,” Carver said. “Most new companies fail because they grow too fast. (Founder) Glennis (Beacham) is committed to building this company the right way. We’ve focused on hiring only the most professional, hard working agents in the business.

Carver said agents who have joined Beacham & Company have been attracted to the firm by the extensive agent support, the company’s high marketing standards, and the brand image within the community. Agents also like the fact that the company is small enough to turn on a dime with input from them, he said.

“Our agents are very excited about some of the marketing initiatives we have planned for this year,” Carver said. “We think there is great opportunity in 2009 and based upon the activity we’ve seen in the market i,n recent weeks, we think our sales goals are easily within reach.”
