HOUSTON, TX - (December 1, 2008) - On December 1, John Daugherty, Realtors proudly welcomed Michelle Sandlin as Senior Director of Relocation and Business Development.

“Michelle will be a valuable asset to our management team,” John A. Daugherty, Jr., president of John Daugherty, Realtors said. “Her strong commitment, experience, and industry knowledge will be instrumental to us in the coming years.”

Michelle brings 8 years of relocation experience to John Daugherty, Realtors, having directed all aspects of the real estate relocation process, providing both home finding and home marketing services to relocation clients. Michelle has worked very closely with agents, corporate clients and third party relocation management companies, and as such she has cultivated many valuable relationships over the years. Additionally, Michelle is accustomed to managing exceptionally large accounts and client bases, as well as developing and implementing winning strategies for procuring new clients through various networks and marketing channels. She has also managed the marketing and business development efforts for a global destination services company. Under Michelle’s direction, the company’s Real Estate Division was established.

Just prior to joining John Daugherty, Realtors, Michelle was the marketing manager for a global commercial real estate company. Her key focus included developing, executing and maintaining internal and external marketing communications, advertising and business development initiatives.

Michelle joins a strong management team already in place. “With her many years of real estate and relocation experience, combined with her marketing and business development savvy, I couldn’t be more pleased to have Michelle joining our team,” said Monica Duff, Vice President of Operations. “Along with the rest of our management and support team, we will be able to develop lasting relationships and assist more and more clients as they relocate to the Houston area.”

Michelle is a licensed real estate Broker, a member of the Houston Relocation Professionals, and a member of the American Marketing Association and its CMO (Chief Marketing Officers) Group. She is also on the planning committee of the Nancy Owens Memorial Foundation, which was created in the name and honor of one of our most beloved Broker Associates, Nancy Owens, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2001.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to join John Daugherty, Realtors, and look forward to being an integral part of its future,” said Michelle. “My goal is to transform the company’s Relocation Department and uniquely position it for future growth. I believe that we will accomplish this through the development and implementation of industry best practices, which in turn will allow us to provide best in class relocation services,” stated Michelle.
