Colorado Group Realty Announces its Third Round of Charitable Foundation Grant Recipients

$10,000 Awarded to Eight Local Community Programs

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO—The Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation will award a total of $10,000 in grants to eight local organizations Wednesday, November 26th at, 12 p.m. at a gathering at the Tread of Pioneers Museum. This is the third distribution of grants totaling $31,000 by the Charitable Foundation and is part of a continuous effort to support community-based programs.

“In order to support our local organizations, it is with great pleasure that each and every broker at Colorado Group Realty contributes to the Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation,” said Sharon Beaupre, board member of the Charitable Foundation. “The importance of early childhood education cannot be emphasized enough. In that light with the third round of gifting, Colorado Group Realty’s Charitable Foundation is proud to invest in the future of Steamboats’ children by donating to eight local non-profit pre-school facilities.”

This fall’s recipients are: Family Learning Center, Heritage Park Preschool, Laurel Street School & Family Center, North Routt Preschool, South Routt Early Learning Center, Steamboat Springs Montessori, Totally Kids, Inc. and Young Tracks, Inc.

The Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation was established in 2006 in order to provide a means to give back to the community. In addition to donations made at the time of real estate transactions, employees, managers and matching funds from client and public donations, can also contribute to the foundation. The goral of the Charitable Foundation is to support a wide range of community based programs related to human services, the arts, education, western heritage, the environment and recreation.

The past recipients were: Born Free Wildlife Rehabilitation, Colorado West Mental Health Inc., Communidad Integrada, The Community Agriculture Alliance, Emerald City Opera, Hospice Services of Northwest Colorado, Historic Routt County!, Lift-Up of Routt County, Rocky Mountain Summer Conservatory, Rocky Mountain Youth Corps, Routt County Search and Rescue, Steamboat Art Museum, The Steamboat Springs Youth Orchestra, Yampa Valley Stream Improvement Charitable Trust, Yampatika and The Wyman Museum.

Family Learning Center provides parents of young children with the support they need to be the best parents they can be.

In its 7th year of operation, Heritage Park Preschool is a year round preschool that serves 60 children per day.

Laurel Street School & Family Center is an early childhood educational facility that has enhanced the lives of Routt County children for over 40 years.

The mission of North Routt Preschool is to support the families in the community through child centered care and education.

In Yampa, South Routt Early Learning Center is committed to serving all children, both with and without special needs, in an integrated preschool environment.

Steamboat Springs Montessori offers a warm environment that supports the child in his or her development academically and socially. They teach respect for self, others and the environment.

Totally Kids, Inc. is committed to providing quality, affordable youth services; working in conjunction with other programs in the Hayden community to enhance the area’s “livability”.

Young Tracks, Inc. operates with the purpose of offering quality early childcare and education to residents of our community and surrounding communities.
