PARK RIDGE, IL USA – Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago’s Park Ridge office encouraged the community to dine locally during the firm’s company-wide Community Kindness initiative. Each week, the office selected a different restaurant to showcase. The agents reached out to their spheres of influence via social media and the menu was placed in the window of the office located at 122 Main Street. Agents in the office then ordered and delivered meals from the restaurant to a first responder or health care organization.
Week one, the office shined a spotlight on Hay Caramba, a Mexican restaurant located at 122 S. Prospect, and then delivered meals from there to the Park Ridge Police Department. On the second week, Spuntino’s Pizza, located at 516 W. Higgins, was in the spotlight and agents from the office delivered pizza to Park Ridge Fire Station #35. Week three was the Sweet and Tart Shoppe (S&T) located at 112 S. Prospect Avenue, where charcuterie trays were delivered to the Park Ridge Care Center and Summit of Uptown. Mel’s Craft BBQ, located at 24 Main Street, rounded out the month of events with another visit to the local Police Department to thank them for their service to the community. The restaurants, police department, fire department and health care workers were all pleased with the great food and recognition.
Katie Roberts, Vice President and Designated Managing Broker of the Park Ridge office, said, “Our agents and staff wanted to support our Park Ridge restaurants, first responders and health care workers once again this year during our annual Community Kindness initiative. It’s such a fitting way for us to give back. After all, these restaurants and first responders nourish and support our families. What better way to show the spirit of Park Ridge than to encourage others to enjoy our restaurants and deliver meals expressing gratitude to our Police, Fire and health care workers. I’d like to thank everyone who supported us in our efforts and I’d like to give a special thank you to Kindness Ambassador Lynn Story for orchestrating the details of this wonderful event.”
The Kindness Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose mission is to support meaningful local initiatives that improve the communities it serves and enhance the quality of life for fellow citizens.
