Whistler, B.C.-based Sea to Sky Premier Properties has announced the highest-priced sale ever recorded for the resort: “Falcon Point,” an $11,200,000 residence on a private 2-acre lot built by Vision Pacific Developments. The previous highest-price sale was the Chateau du Lac, which sold in December 2001 for $10,000,000.

The European buyer is a professional who sited Whistler as “a great place to invest.” Whistler is slated to co-host the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Ann Chiasson, President of RE/MAX Sea to Sky Real Estate and Sea to Sky Premier Properties, said she is confident that the luxury real estate market in Whistler is heating up with five recent sales in excess of $5,000,000 and seven additional sales over $2,500,000. She remarked, “These sales, combined with the Falcon Point sale, clearly indicate that discriminating buyers are taking our market seriously and finding value in their investments.”

Falcon Point is described as a unique property with an “Armani character.” Sales associate Ted Morden at RE/MAX Sea to Sky Real Estate Whistler stated that his client was very pleased with finding an appropriate home in Whistler. “The client owns property around the world and believes that his Whistler property is not only a good investment, but also a wonderful place to bring family and friends.”
