What is the agent experience like in your Seal Beach – Rossmoor Office?
Fred: We’re all about teamwork and collaboration, with absolutely every agent working together. Even our very top producers collaborate with everyone because there are no prima donnas in my office, and we genuinely care about each other’s success. I believe we succeed by the inspiration we gain from each other.
I joined First Team 35 years ago because I wanted listings and I felt they had the best listing program out there. To this day, all of the agents in our office help lift each other up and capture more business. I am very most proud of the culture we’ve created. What goals do you have for the next year?
F: For me, it’s not about specific goals, it’s about progress over perfection. My goals are simply this, to be better professionally, financially, and personally than I was last year. I believe in constantly making progress toward your driving purpose, whatever gets you up in the morning.
We all have a reason to be in this business. That’s individual and needs to be emotionally charged. Me, I like to grow. I don’t like to be stagnant. I like to grow my office, and my agents, and what drives me is enriching people’s lives. I have a common bond and purpose with my agents, so I want to do everything possible to enrich their lives.
How do you support your agents and help them grow their business?
F: My drive, my purpose is the success and well-being of my agents and watching them grow and develop moves me forward. So, the first thing I do when helping an agent is understand their goals and their own vision for their business – finding out their why. Second, I assess their strengths and weaknesses so that I can help build on their strengths.
That all provides me with a foundation so I can develop a personalized business plan and schedule tailored to them, based on their profile as an individual. And finally, follow up is the most critical component. I follow up and continue coaching to keep them on track, and problem solve along the way so they can continue to move forward. If there’s no follow up then their chances for success are minimal.
Do you have a personal philosophy?
F: I have an abundance mindset. We have more business than we know what to do with. We command a number one market share in most every one of our local areas, but there’s still so much more business to go after.
What is your #1 piece of advice for real estate agents today?

F: My most used emoji is the muscle arm 💪. I use all of the time when I’m trying to inspire my agents. Stay strong!
