It is in celebration of this legacy, and in honor of Kent Gale, who led the business from the mid 1960s to 1990 and Patricia Petersen, present day President and CEO, as well as all the men and women who have contributed to its success, that “Welcome Aboard, A History of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty” was commissioned. Rich with archival photographs and local history, the 175-page coffee table book chronicles the growth of the Daniel Gale organization and the local and national forces that shaped real estate on Long Island throughout the 20th century.“This book was made possible by the many contributions of our agents and staff, past and present, as well as the Gale family,” explained Pat Petersen. “We all share a love of this organization and a commitment to its founding principles of integrity, professionalism, and always doing the right thing.”The publishing of “Welcome Aboard” was celebrated among family, friends and associates with a party at the Lloyd Harbor home of Stanley C. Gale, grandson of Daniel Gale. Copies of the book will be donated to local libraries and to the Huntington Historical Society, and will be on display at Daniel Gale Sotheby’s locations throughout the North Shore.
