By Linda Rawls, Palm Beach Post Staff Writer PALM BEACH (Tuesday, April 27, 2004) -- There's no better place for luxury real-estate brokers to gather than The Breakers. After all, there are few, if any, spots in the world that have as many luxury estates as Palm Beach. Then there's The Breakers, which boasts a Five Diamond rating from Triple AAA -- and no doubt soon will recapture its fifth star from Mobil Travel Guide.Put those elements together and you have the 2nd annual Luxury Brokers Retreat at The Breakers, which began with a dinner Sunday night and continues through Tuesday. The conference is organized by Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate Publisher John Brian Losh, representing Seattle's oldest real-estate firm, Ewing and Clark. The meeting brings together 75 top brokers who sell the world's priciest real estate in more than 50 markets, said Meghan Barry, assistant director of Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate. McCann Coyner Clarke Real Estate and Wilshire International Realty, both of Palm Beach, will take limousines full of brokers Tuesday to tour local properties for sale. The tour, hosted by Wilshire International broker/owner Christine Frank, includes builder Dan Swanson's $38 million "spec house" on Sloan's Curve. The schedule also includes seminars, a golf tournament, a cocktail reception at The Brazilian Court Hotel and a dinner at The Breakers.
