We have seen an increase in investor activity from this region, primarily due to the strength of their currencies against the US dollar.  Much of their investment to date has gone into the New York/Manhattan marketplace, but the drop in Florida property prices has brought attention to our market.”In Malaysia, Tan will be a featured speaker, presenting a seminar entitled “Investing in USA Property.” The iproperty shows are known to target property investors. Show participation will be supported by subsequent promotion on the only Asian-based web site to promote American properties. iproperty shows have been endorsed by Ministry of Tourism Malaysia, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Minister of Housing and Local Government Malaysia and Chief Minister of Selangor. At the Asia Property Show in Singapore, Tan will have an exhibition booth, in addition to holding two seminars a day on “Investing in USA Property.” The Asia Property Show is in its third year and visitors include institutional investors, property owners, property investors, high net worth individuals, property advisors, investment promotion agencies and real estate portfolio managers. Geographically, participants travel from many countries including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Brunei, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Middle East, India, Pakistan, United States, Canada and Europe. Meetings have already been set with Singapore-based international real estate companies to further develop partnerships in the region.“I lived and worked in Asia for several years before moving to Sarasota,” continues Tan. “Building trust over a long period of time, and face to face contact is very important in Asia. This trip will reinforce relationships we already have in place as well as offer the opportunity to establish and develop new ones.”Prudential Palms International Division provides a cohesive strategy to present comprehensive international exposure for all Prudential Palms listings.
