LIV Sotheby's International RealtyDENVER, CO – The year 2019 was prosperous for both homebuyers and sellers in the Metro Denver real estate market. As a review, total sales volume for the year saw a healthy 7% increase, properties sold grew by 4%, new listings rose by 4%, and average list prices as well as average sold prices increased by 4% and 3% respectively, according to the market reports compiled by LIV Sotheby’s International Realty (LIV SIR) comparing 2019 to 2018 statistics.

This active market in The Mile High City produced some impressive sales throughout 2019. The highest-priced sale involving LIV SIR in Metro Denver last year was the sale of 1133 14th Street Unit 4450 where LIV SIR broker, Josh Behr, represented the buyer. Heading south to Cherry Hills Village, LIV SIR brokers Maggie Armstrong and Trish Bragg represented the buyer of 4701 Dasa Drive in Cherry Hills Village. The $9,000,000 sale took place last October. Set on two acres, this beautifully designed home captures exceptional mountain views from its exquisite interior, pool and grounds.

And back in town, Bragg and Armstrong represented the seller in the sale of 576 South Elizabeth Street, a stunning modern home in the Polo Club neighborhood of Denver. This one-of-a-kind property was sold for $8,500,000 in April of 2019. Set on 3.5 acres, the home was artfully designed by Seattle-based architect Jim Olson of Olson Kundig and its landscape design was inspired by the mountains and plains surrounding Denver. 

Another Cherry Hills Village estate that makes this list of notable sales from 2019 is 4 Cherry Hills Park Drive, which sold for $8,200,000. LIV SIR brokers Josh Behr and Linda Behr represented both the buyer and seller of this iconic seven-bedroom, five-bathroom home set on 2.36 acres in one of the most sought-after communities in Metro Denver.

LIV SIR broker Casey Karsh Perry represented the buyer in the sale of 4949 South Fairfax Street. This incredible, expansive estate in Cherry Hills Village sold during the month of November for a remarkable price of $7,250,000. Some special features of this home include panoramic views of the Rockies as well as a circular bluestone zero-edge pool, a hot tub, fire pits, a home theater, an exercise room and a cigar room.

Even though 2020 has just begun, ending 2019 with positive market metrics is a good sign that buyers and sellers will see some of the same success within the Metro Denver real estate market in the new year.
