Private Charity Event to Benefit Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, St. Francis High School and Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy

Pasadena, CA - Classes of '93 and Friends Charity Event will be in Old Town Pasadena on Saturday, May 7, 2005, and will be the first 'broker sneak peek' into a historical cigar club that will be listed on the open market for $3.5 million on Monday, May 9, 2005.   A benefit poker tournament for Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, St. Francis High School and Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy will be from 8:00PM to 12:00AM.  The event venue in Old Town Pasadena shines as an old cigar club that was once owned by George Hamilton as 'The Humidor'.  Other donations will be raised thorough a silent art auction of painting, photography and drawing in the old cigar club as well as throughout the 15,000 square foot property.Located in Old Town Pasadena, the area has seen values rise with double-digit growth the last several years.  The area is like a mini-London with many lofts above the streets that are filled with fine dining and stores like Armani.  The particular potential of a loft conversion at 70 North Raymond Avenue promises to be an exciting addition to the neighborhood that is experiencing a lot of renovation and development.  Just across the street a new renovation of lofts is available at 35 North Raymond Avenue (www.35raymond.com).'The Humidor' was once owned as a private cigar club by the actor, George Hamilton.  Fine dining and private clubs were established by the actor about ten years ago in Las Vegas, Beverly Hills, Miami and Palm Springs.  George Hamilton has appeared in The Godfather and Hollywood Ending.

From 8:00PM to 12:00AM there will be an Art Show with Silent Auction with painting, photography, drawing and graphics on the theme of "Living in Los Angeles".  The minimum bid for an artwork in the show starts at $100 to $5000.  Established and emerging artists from top art schools like UCLA, USC, Otis Arts, Art Center for Design and CalArts have been invited to submit and donate artworks.  Other artists are also participating.  Three of the emerging student artists will also be awarded a spot in a Max Racks postcard campaign throughout Los Angeles restaurants, bars, fitness clubs and other businesses.  The postcard campaign will be for ClosetoHomes.com, a multimedia real estate start-up company.

Alumni from the graduating classes from 1990 to 1995 have been invited from St. Francis High School and Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy.  After graduating from college, many of the alumni live and work in the Los Angeles and Pasadena areas.  Furthermore, many brokers have been invited to attend this private showcase before the property is listed on the MLS, www.LuxuryRealEstate.com, www.Realtor.com, and www.Loopnet.com.

Also, a private lounge room will showcase interior designs by Dressed to Close, a design company that creates clean and inspiring spaces within homes for sale.  Some of the corporate sponsors of the event include Don Francisco Coffee Traders, Corporate Carrots, Symphony Finance, Dana Scribner of United Independent Title Insurance, and Close to Homes.com.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the general funds of all three non-profit organizations.  For Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, there has been a great need for funds after several unfunded government mandates, as well as the need to build a New Hospital. Michele Moore, the Estates Director of H&M Estates, is representing the luxury loft and commercial space.  "Utilizing unique marketing tools and benefiting worthy non-profit organizations creates a synergy and exposure that this historically significant property deserves," states Ms. Moore.
