Naples Luxury Home Sales Up 79%

The latest Press Release from the Naples Area Board of REALTORS reports that closed sales for single family homes in the $1-million to $2-million dollar price range outpaced all other price categories in the third quarter with a 79% increase. Other positive trends include the median sale price up 15%, the inventory level down, days on-the-market reported down and a 4.24 month supply of properties currently listed for sale, indicitative of a seller's market.

$725 Million Waggoner Ranch Bidding Closes After Two Years

The Waggoner ranch has been on the market with Briggs Freeman Sotheby's International Realty listed at $725 Million. After bidding closed Tuesday, it has finally found a buyer. The ranch is located west of Wichita Falls, Texas and spans 520,000 acres of land - that encapsulates six whole counties. Founded in 1849, it has remained in the Waggoner family, but heirs spent decades quarreling over its future before a judge finally approved a plan to sell it. In the end they received several offers and finally decided on the buyer, though the new owner has not yet been announced.
