Local Real Estate Brokers Contribute Commissions to Support Construction Project
Breckenridge, Colo., February 22, 2023 - Through a generous donation of time and talent, local real estate brokerage LIV Sotheby’s International Realty (LIV SIR) is helping to bring the Sol Center one step closer to reality.
In December 2022, LIV SIR represented both the Family & Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC) and the Town of Breckenridge in a commercial property transaction. FIRC is best known for operating the food bank in the Summit County community, which is one of the most utilized non-profit organizations in the area. LIV SIR brokers Jack Wolfe, Aaron Shriner, and Larry Hutton donated $57,000 in commissions to the FIRC as well as future commissions on two other properties to be sold in 2023.
These contributions will support the construction of the Sol Center, which will bring two critical, community-based nonprofits together under one roof to ensure local workers and families can live and thrive in Summit County. The Sol Center will facilitate FIRC and Building Hope to operate side-by-side reducing barriers for community members and providing essential services. Located amid approximately 250 workforce housing units and the larger nonprofit campus, the Sol Center will be located on 3.5 acres of the 128-acre McCain Property along Colorado Highway 9 and Coyne Valley Road.
FIRC and Building Hope realize the positive impact this building will have on clients who are navigating housing insecurity and the associated stress which can manifest in other aspects of their lives such as poor mental and physical health, unstable family relationships, and financial strain. Realization of the Sol Center aligns with LIV SIR’s vision of assisting residents in securing housing throughout Summit County. LIV SIR believes in providing access to housing and supports organizations that help to make positive changes in the lives of families that may not otherwise be able to secure a place to live.
“I am incredibly grateful to live in a community where local businesses understand the importance of promoting strong community and give generously to this crucial project. FIRC is thankful to LIV SIR for providing their expertise to guide us through the sale of our Breckenridge location and for their philanthropic nature ensuring the construction of Sol Center that will provide services and stability for locals for years to come” said Brianne Snow, Executive Director of FIRC.
