“South Florida Mansion Sales Surge as Tax Exiles Seek Savings” is the title of a recent Bloomberg article, written by Prashant Gopal and Jonathan Levin. The piece highlights the “Snowbird” trend, which refers to people from the Northeast moving to South Florida in order to escape the harsh winter, but now another incentive may be encouraging this decision to relocate.

Citizens are jumping at the chance to cut their tax bill and are even considering bringing their businesses with them.  Bloomberg presents statistics that display luxury sales declining nationwide, yet rising in South Florida.
