2018- A Record Year
2018 was a record year for both Hawaii Luxury Listings and its Principal Broker, Johnny Mac McElree. Luxury home sales were up on the Big Island of Hawaii, and no where was this more apparent than in the Waikoloa Beach Resort area, where Johnny sold over $30 million in property- outselling the next 5 agents combined by about $1 million. Johnny remains the all-time leading agent in sales in the Waikoloa Beach Resort, with $115.8 million in sales here in his career- that is $45 million more than his closest competitor. $22 million of Johnny’s 2018 WBR sales were at Kolea, the crown jewel of the Waikoloa Beach Resort. This is an all-time record by a single agent at the development and, in fact, when you add up the 2018 sales of all other real estate agents who sold in Kolea, his total sales are essentially equal to all of those agents combined. These Waikoloa Beach Resort sales, along with several others along the Kohala Coast, place Johnny in the top 1% of all agents on the Big Island in 2018- to be precise, he was the 10th highest selling agent out of all 992 agents on the island. A stellar year for “The Mayor”!
Hawaii Luxury Listings as a brokerage had a fantastic year as well, placing 22nd in sales out of 247, putting HLL easily in the top 10% of brokerages on the Big Island. The other brokerages in the top 10% are much larger, consisting of many agents. Hawaii Luxury Listings is comprised of just 3- Johnny (Principal Broker) and Real Estate Agents Chad Weigle and Peter Berezney- a small but powerful team. $38.2 million of HLL’s sales were in the aforementioned Waikoloa Beach Resort, making HLL the top-selling brokerage in the resort. HLL outsold the second place brokerage by $18.3 million dollars. In Kolea, Hawaii Luxury Listings continued to be the go-to brokerage for those who want the job done- almost $25 million in sales here mean that HLL accounted for 67% of the Kolea sales for 2018- more than double the rest of the field combined.
