Fresh Holiday Home Decor Tips

December 8, 2014

Decorating for the holidays can be as involved and expensive as you want it to be. Thankfully, you do not need a giant budget or a house full of décor to create an impact that even the biggest scrooge will appreciate. Here’s a list of DIY décor ideas to make the most of your holiday cheer without eating up your entire holiday budget:

  1. Create an easy and high impact ornament wreath
  2. Use scraps of ribbons and lights to make a colorful garland
  3. String vintage buttons to make rustic ornaments
  4. Use Christmas lanterns or luminaries for light
  5. Decorate your mailbox
  6. Stretch your round wreaths to create a custom oval ones
  7. Decorate your pendant lights with evergreen or garland
  8. Fill glass cylinders with ornaments

There are thousands of tips out there. The Southern Living ones are some of my absolute favorites. See the entire list here.
