Raffi, the noted children's entertainer, after a thirty year career, and about eleven years thinking and planning about the opportunity to create a Child Honouring Centre, is now putting his ideas into practice. Raffi now makes his home on Salt Spring Island, and he plans to create the first centre, here, and then to model/export the concept, globally. He will most likely turn up with a presentation/event, in an area near you, and you will be really glad if you attend. Raffi's joyous spirit and upbeat music had everyone at ArtSpring, last evening, wanting to be "dancing in the street"! The Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, Jane Goodall are just some of the people who have supported and endorsed Raffi's concept. His plan is nothing less than to bring health and peace to society, by focusing on the well being of children, and thereby of the family and of the greater society. As he says, "it takes a Village to raise a child". Check out Raffi's website (www.raffinews.com) for more details, and download a copy of his latest CD principal song (Communion). He is calling his venture Spirit of One, as it is an individual response that is needed. It is individuals who create change.
