J. Craig King, CCIM, CAI, AARE, President of J. P. King Auction Company, is a fourth generation auctioneer with over 25 years experience in the real estate auction business. J. P. King was founded in 1915, and has been owned and operated by members of the King family for nearly a century. J. P. King, headquartered in Gadsden, AL, specializes in the sale of premier properties and has sold some of the nation's most spectacular properties including the Palm Aire Spa/Resort in Pompano Beach, FL for $10.4 million, Calumet Farm in Lexington, KY for $20 million, and South Carolina’s Kiawah Island Ocean Course for $27 million. J.P. King also sold Barbara Mandrell's 27,000 sq ft Nashville log home and have successfully marketed and sold property to celebrities, Fortune 500 executives and professional athletes across the country.

Recent successful sales include The Langsyne Oceanfront Estate in Cape Cod, MA ($4.5 million), Hartford Farm in Croton, OH ($5.3 million), McNeely Mountain Estate in Jackson Hole, WY ($5 million), SanSeair in Boca Grande, FL ($4.8 million), Creston Valley Estate near San Luis Obispo, CA ($1.9 million) and Maison Caribou in Boulder, CO ($4.3 million).

J.P. King has sold property at auction through two world wars, the Gulf War, the wars in Korea and Vietnam, and numerous other conflicts. The company was born during the darkest days of World War I. Since then, four generations of Kings have sold property in every type of market from the Great Depression to the booming economies of the '60s and '90s.
